El cant dels ocells

In times like these, the questions of how and why are extremely relevant and important. Artists, emptied from their striving passion, must remember WHY they do what they do, so to hold on. But people in power, and everyone else actually, should take a minute to think of HOW we need to move forward. Pau Casals, one of the greatest cellists of all time, decided to put his art and passion aside to contest a terrible inhuman regime. Such conviction and willpower are rare and admirable. To start off 2021, we want to share with you a song of hope, of liberty and of strength. We question ourselves constantly and try to keep the necessary drive to fight for what we believe in and build communities around it. Let’s not pretend everything is going well and it’ll all be ‘ok’. But let us dream, imagine a different future and use our art as the only weapon for breaking barriers and creating bridges. Music is the language of the soul and has no frontiers, let us embrace that and speak through it. Aurevoir 2020. « El cant dels ocells » by Pau Casals Performed by Stick&Bow
