Commissioned by Stick&Bow with the help of the Canadian Council for the Arts, in celebration of the duo’s fifth anniversary.
In this personal work, the composer surprises himself using a tango ‘cansino’ and some sad melodic material, elements rarely used in his music.
We are extremely grateful for this commission and the honour of working on it with alcides himself.
